Taste: La Trappe Isid’or was brewed in 2009 in honour of the 125th anniversary of Onze Lieve Vrouw van Koningshoeven Abbey. The harmonious taste starts as a fruity flavour and then shifts to malty caramel; a perfect balance between complexity and simplicity. The ale is named after brother Isidorus, the first master brewer of the abbey.

Colour: Light blonde and cloudy with a stable and lasting head.
Aroma: Lightly sour and refreshing by the use of wheat malt with a floral and fruity (citrus, peach, apricot) hop aroma. This results in a spicy aroma that makes you think of pepper and cloves.
Taste: La Trappe Witte Trappist is a drinkable and refreshing thirst-quencher. Smooth, malty, slightly sour and tingling because it’s carbonated.
Aftertaste: Dry and lightly bitter. Advice for serving: Pour the bottle up to the last centimetre. Loosen up the yeast that is still sitting in the bottom of the bottle. Now pour this also into the glass. The yeast will sink like a turbid veil through the ale.
Features: The only Trappist white ale in the world
In 1991, The Koningshoeven brewery baptized her beloved Quadrupel under the approving glance of the monks. A closely guarded recipe became reality, and the first Quadrupel beer in the world was born.
Colour: Warm amber-coloured with a crème-coloured head.
Aroma: Hints of cloves and nuts, balanced by the sweet aromas of vanilla, raisins and banana.
Taste: La Trappe Quadrupel is the heaviest ale of La Trappe Trappist ales and is eponymous of this ale style. A full, warming and intensive taste. Malty with the sweet tones of date and caramel.
Aftertaste: Smooth and light bitter aftertaste.

In 2009, the Koningshoeven Brewery reinstated an old tradition by aging La Trappe Quadrupel in oak barrels, thus creating a unique Trappist ale with a perfectly balanced flavour, special aroma of wood, and an alcohol content of 11%.
